Over time, the Wetar operation has expanded, with more ore placed on the leach pads. At some point the capacity of the NP was exceeded causing acid and iron in the lixiviant to accumulate to the point where copper leaching within the heaps and copper extraction in CuSX was adversely affected. The Neutralisation Plant Expansion (Stage 1) was completed to resolve this problem. BMS was engaged by PT Batutua Tembaga Raya (BTR) for the design, supply and installation of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System works for the upgrade of its existing Neutralization plant at its Wetar Island operations.

• Detailed design electrical, instrumentation and control system engineering deliverables.
• Detailed design, supply and development of the processing plant PLC & SCADA using Allen Bradley ControlLogix Hardware and Citect SCADA package.
• Procurement of electrical, instrumentation and control system equipment and delivery to site.
• Installation of clients supplied equipment.
• Installation of complete electrical low voltage systems including switch rooms, electrical equipment and electrical reticulation.
• Installation of instrumentation, communication and control systems equipment. 
• Pre-commissioning, dry commissioning and wet commissioning assistance. 
• As-Built drawings and documentation.
